PURPOSE: A surface treating agent for the transfer of textiles is provided, to improve the binding force between the textiles and a sublimate ink in thermal transfer printing, thereby to prevent the discoloring, the decoloring and the separation of transferred image. CONSTITUTION: The surface treating agent comprises 7-13 parts by weight of n-butyl acrylate for improving the adhesion; 1-3 parts by weight of acrylonitrile for increasing the density of a film; 1-2 parts by weight of a surfactant; 12-20 parts by weight of vinyl acetate ethylene for improving the adhesion and activating the film formation; 1-2 parts by weight of dimethylpolysiloxane for controlling the surface tension and improving the fastness; 2-8 parts by weight of polyurethane emulsion for improving the solvent-resistance and the fastness; 1-3 parts by weight of methyl methacrylate; 54-64 parts by weight of water; and 2-4 parts by weight of isopropyl alcohol.
