PURPOSE: A seawater exchange system of a caisson breakwater is provided to keep a constant temperature in port and to exchange seawater smoothly. CONSTITUTION: The seawater exchange system of a caisson breakwater(1) comprises the steps of erecting a vertical cross partition wall(13) which passes perpendicularly the intermediate of two vertical partition walls(11,12) in an inner space of a caisson(10) placed over the top of a riprap foundation(4), perforating many square seawater conveyance holes(14) on the top of a front wall(10a) of a caisson and a vertical partition wall(11), perforating conveyance holes(14a) on the vertical partition wall(12) correspondingly to square seawater conveyance holes(14), perforating square seawater conveyance holes on a rear wall(10b) of a caisson(10), and interposing square seawater conveyance pipes(15) horizontally to an interval between the square seawater conveyance hole(14a) of the vertical partition wall(12) and the rear wall(10b) of the caisson(10).
