FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering local anesthesia. Eyeball is fixed directly near the place the cystotome is introduced. Paracentesis is carried out in parallel to iris plane. Film incision is made along horizontal chord along the nearest lens boundary. The cystotome is flatwise brought via the initial incision towards the furthest lens boundary. The cystotome is turned with its sharp end towards posterior lens surface and the second incision is made towards the paracentesis. The cystotome is flatwise brought to the opposite lens boundary. The third incision is made after having turned its sharp end towards posterior lens surface. The cystotome is flatwise brought to the apex of created film flap. The cystotome is turned with its sharp end towards posterior lens surface and the film flap apex is pierced with the cystotome sharp end. The flap is removed making a movement towards the paracentesis via the initial incision. The retained film fragment is jammed between the capsule sack and posterior iris surface. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of traumatic complications; stable functional results. 4 dwg
