PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise even in the case of an unknown sound reception position and an unknown objective sound source position, to allow a microphone to be easily freely arranged, installed, and moved, and to enhance followability to environmental change like movement of noise. SOLUTION: A sound/silence detection part 12 detects sounds or silence from sound reception signals picked up by microphones 11<SB>1</SB>to 11<SB>M</SB>. A covariance matrix calculation part 13 calculates covariance matrixes between channels from the sound reception signals. A covariance matrix storage part 14 stores sound covariances (silence covariances) judged to be sounds (silence). A filter calculation part 15 calculates a filter coefficient of a channel having the highest power of input sounds, on the basis of stored sound covariances and silence covariances.
