PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coreless linear motor capable of suppressing rise in the temperature of an armature winding. SOLUTION: A moving member 10 is constituted of the armature winding 11, composed of a plurality of coils 13 and a moving-member mount 12 that supports the armature winding 11. A stator 1 is constituted of permanent magnets 2, that form a plurality of magnetic poles and a back yoke 3. In the coreless linear motor, constituted such that the right and the left sides of the armature winding 11 are sandwiched by the permanent magnets 2 with spaces left therebetween, a recess 12a is formed on the back surface of the moving-member mount 12, the upper side 14 of the coil contacting the upper part of the coil 13 is inserted in the recess 12a of the moving-member mount 12; and a space for conducting wire connection between the coils 13 or with a lead wire 16 is formed in the vicinity of the lower side 15 of the coil that contacts with the lower part of the coil 13.
