PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve on an image receiver so that users may find it easier to use. SOLUTION: The image receiver is provided with a tuner (1), text decoder (2), an image forming device (5), a cursor control device (CPU 7) and a page switching device (CPU 3, 7). The receiver can be adjusted by the tuner (1) by means of a program identifier to a TV program previously set up. The decoder (2) can be driven by a page number signal, and text data can be decoded when the text data is transmitted by a TV signal with the data being aligned according to the page. The image forming device (5) generates and outputs a cursor symbol data and image page data directly from a text page memory (4) or the decoder and displays respective image data on a screen. The cursor control device (CPU, 7) positions the cursor within the domain of a displayed image and triggers a specific procedure when a preset key is pressed. The page switching device (CPU, 3, 7) switches to a designated page number when the preset key is pressed with the cursor positioned on four margins of the image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
