PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a multi-path distortion at an FM receiver. SOLUTION: An FM modulation/reception system comprises a demodulating means for outputting a signal whose amplitude changes according to the frequency and amplitude of a received signal, an amplitude detecting means for detecting the amplitude of the received signal, a changing means for changing the amplitude value detected by the amplitude detecting means over to a prescribed coefficient and outputting it, a correction coefficient calculating means for outputting a correction coefficient on the basis of an amplitude or the prescribed coefficient that is output from the changing means, an amplitude correcting means for correcting the amplitude of the output signal from the demodulating means on the basis of the correction coefficient output from the correction coefficient calculating means and outputting the signal with the corrected amplitude as a demodulated signal, and a reception status judging means for judging a reception status on the basis at least either of a reception electric field level or a modulation signal level. The prescribed coefficient used by the changing means is decided on the basis of a judgement output from the reception status judging means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
