A single wire (22) coming into a bending mould (15) is formed into a ring (20) with several coils. During this process, the coils are looped through two previously formed rings (20a,b), and at right angles to these rings. The rings are held on suspension elements. The coils of the rings are held together by several claps (21), which are distributed around the ring circumference. The bending mould is positioned on a table (11), and is movable in a direction (C) parallel to the main plane of the suspended rings. <IMAGE>
