PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing links of a global router and a local router in a mobile communication system is provided to accurately grasp the link state of the global router and the local router by diagnosing the operation state of links of a board connected to the global router and the local router according to intervals and testing a data transmission path. CONSTITUTION: If operator test information is inputted(ST11), a BSM(Base Station Manager) checks an operator input parameter(ST12). The BSM confirms the state of a port(ST13). If the port is in a standby state, the BSM transmits corresponding information to an ASP(ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Switch Processor)(ST14). If the port is in an active state, the BSM changes the state of the corresponding port to the standby state(ST15) and transmits corresponding information to the ASP(ST14). The BSM checks whether a response is received from the ASP(ST16). If the response is received, the BSM receives a test result from the ASP(ST17). |
