POLARIZATION CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A polarization converter is provided to prevent the deterioration of performance due to the angles and the temperature of the polarization beam splitter(PBS). CONSTITUTION: A polarization converter includes a glass substrate, a polarization conversion plate(303) and a reflection plate(304). The polarization conversion plate(303) is provided with a reflective polarization plate(302) for dividing the non-polarized light with impinging thereonto at a predetermined angle into two polarized directions. The polarization conversion plate(303) is coupled to the reflective polarization plate(302) for converting the polarization direction of the light polarized by the reflective polarization plate(302). And, the reflection plate(304) is arranged in parallel to the reflective polarization plate(302) and the polarization conversion plate(303) for reflecting the light beam inputted from the reflective polarization plate(302) and the polarization conversion plate(303).
