PURPOSE: A mirror controller of an LCD optical engine illuminating system is provided to accurately control lamp light reflected to an LCD panel through a mirror. CONSTITUTION: A mirror controller(45a) of an LCD optical engine illuminating system includes a lamp, an illuminating unit, and a reflecting mirror(43). The illuminating unit has the first and second FELs, and a condensing lens. The reflecting mirror is fixed by a mirror fixing plate(145) to the inside of an optical engine housing and reflects lamp light controlled by the illuminating unit to an LCD panel. The mirror fixing plate includes a horizontal rotation controller(149), a forward-and-backward movement controller(150), and a forward-and-backward rotation controller(151). The controllers control the mirror such that the mirror reflects the lamp light to the LCD panel.
