PURPOSE: A rubber composition for snow tire tread is provided to have excellent braking force on snow/ice surfaces, which is environmentally-friendly, maintains or enhances its tension property by using processing oil blended with aromatics, naphthenes, and paraffins in a specified amount. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition for snow tire tread comprises a base rubber mixed with one or more selected from a group consisting of natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber; and other additives including reinforcing filler such as carbon black and silica, process oil, vulcanizing agent, vulcanization accelerator, and anti-aging agent, wherein the process oil is comprised of 24±5 wt% of aromatics, 36±5 wt% of naphthenes, and 40±5 wt% of paraffins. The process oil has less than 3 % of PCA (polycyclic aromatic). |
