PURPOSE: A folder searching method for MP3 reproduction is provided to automatically generate an MP3 file list when an MP3 file folder to be reproduced is selected. CONSTITUTION: An MP3 file is searched in an upper root folder(S101). When the MP3 file has been searched(S102), the file is stored in an MP3 file list(S103). It is judged whether a lower folder to be searched exists or not(S104). When the lower folder exists(S105), an MP3 file is searched in the lower folder(S106). The MP3 file searched in the lower folder is stored in the list. The procedure of searching an MP3 file in a lower folder and storing the searched MP3 file in the list is repeated.
