PURGE DEVICE OF NON-CONTACT TYPE SCANNING THERMOMETER

PURPOSE: A purge device of a non-contact type scanning thermometer is provided to precisely measure temperature of a strip by preventing impurities from adhering to a glass plate. CONSTITUTION: A gas purge device includes a glass plate(3) inserted into a bottom portion of a cooling box(2) having a thermometer(1) therein. A hollow purge hood(4) is installed below the thermometer(1). A pair of gas spraying ports(10) is provided at upper portions of the purge hood(4). A plurality of shielding plates(12) is horizontally installed in the purge hood(4) while forming a regular interval. A rectangular shielding hole(13) is formed at the center of the shielding plate(12) so as to allow light generated from a strip(9) to be introduced into the thermometer.
