PURPOSE: An electrode structure for a plasma display panel is provided to improve lighting efficiency of blue, contrast, and color purity. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a pair of sustain electrodes(14,16) formed alternately in parallel on an upper substrate, address electrodes(22) formed on a lower substrate in such a manner that the address electrodes are at right angle to the sustain electrodes, and discharge cells for emitting red, green, and blue at a cross point of the address electrodes. A pair of metal electrodes compensate the resistance components of the sustain electrodes at an upper edge of the sustain electrodes. The metal electrodes within each the discharge cell have a different width each other. |
