PURPOSE: A fully automatic washing machine and a speed display method thereof are provided to check actual speed and direction of rotation of a pulsator or a washing tub without opening a door of the washing machine by displaying the rotational state of the pulsator or the washing tub with using the output of a hall sensor in rotating a motor. CONSTITUTION: A fully automatic washing machine is composed of a motor(43) arranging plural N and S poles of magnets alternately; hall sensors detecting the position of the motor according to N or S-poles of magnets; a microcomputer(42) deciding rotational speed and direction of the motor according to position detected from the hall sensors, and controlling the motor; a pulsator and a washing tub rotating by receiving driving force of the motor; and a speed display unit(41) displaying the rotational speed or direction of the pulsator or washing tub according to the output of the microcomputer, and having plural LEDs(Light Emitting Diodes). The rotational state of the pulsator or the washing tub is checked without opening the door of the washing machine through the speed display unit.
