PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting an element of a network system is provided to allow a user to optimize an environment setting and easily setting an element even without knowledge for a system by downloading an element set value file corresponding to his/her environment from a manager who has a good knowledge of a system management. CONSTITUTION: When a network system boots initially or attempts re-booting after deleting every element value because of upgrading(S301), an element file unit can select whether to load an element set value file or whether to connect to a system managing server through a selector(S302). When a system user selects connection to the system managing server, the system is connected to the system managing server to allow the system user to input environment information for using a current system(S303). The system managing server receives the environment information, generates an element set value for an optimum system operation, creates a file in a specific format, and transmits to the system(S304). The element set value file transmitted from the system managing server is stored in an element file unit of the system(S305). A boot ROM loads the stored element set value file to perform a booting operation(S306). The boot ROM stores the element set value loaded from the element set value file in a network element storing unit and a flash memory(S307). The system is operated according to the optimized set value(S308).
