PURPOSE: An apparatus for exchanging liner for rolling mill is provided which not only protects workers from safety accident, but also reduces working hours so that the rolling mill is effectively operated by promptly and simply performing exchange operation of a liner inserted into a stand. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a pair of idle rolls(10) respectively installed on both surfaces of a stand(1) for supporting rolling rolls; a moving member(12) rested on an upper surface of the idle rolls; a moving cylinder(15) connected to one end part of the moving member to move the moving member; a loading member(16) which is rotated in the state that the loading member is rested on an upper surface of the moving member, and in which a plural insertion holes(18) for storing liner(4) are formed; and an insertion cylinder(19) installed at one side of the loading member to insert the liner into the stand by drawing out the liner stored in the loading member, wherein the apparatus further comprises first pinion gear(11) formed on the outer circumferential surface of the idle rolls, first rack gear(13) formed on the bottom of the moving member so that the first rack gear is engaged with the first pinion gear, second rack gear(14) formed on an upper surface of the moving member, and second pinion gear(17) formed on the outer circumferential surface of the loading member so that the second pinion gear is engaged with the second rack gear.
