摘要 PURPOSE: A preamble design for implementing a frequency offset estimation and a channel equalization in a burst orthogonal frequency division multiplexing transmission system is provided to satisfy the required frequency estimation performance with a small number of correlation samples by using the back-end samples of the guard period without depending on the inter-symbol interference. CONSTITUTION: A preamble design for implementing a frequency offset estimation and a channel equalization in a burst orthogonal frequency division multiplexing transmission system includes the steps of: (a) calculating(S410,S420) a normalized frequency offset for a test sample signal having a relation that the correlation distance is the number(N) of the sub-carrier waves and a test sample signal having a relation that the correlation distance is two times(2N) of the number of the sub-carrier waves; and (b) estimating(S430-S470) the normalized frequency offset by subtracting or adding a predetermined value from/to the normalized frequency offset calculated, when the correlation distance is 2N, in response to the range of the normalized frequency offset calculated when the correlation distance is N.
