BELT SLIP PREVENTION SYSTEM FOR BELT-TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: To prevent a belt slip of a continuously variable transmission unit even in the case of selecting a shift lever into D-range→N-range→D-range during travel. CONSTITUTION: This belt slip prevention system is provided with a belt-type continuously variable transmission equipped with an input side primary pulley 41 and an output side secondary pulley 42 variable in groove width according to oil pressure, and a belt 43 wound around the primary pulley and secondary pulley and variable in pulley contact radius according to the groove width; a vehicle speed detecting means 52 for detecting vehicle speed; a shift lever 56 for indicating the proceeding direction of the vehicle; a DND selection determining means 61a for determining that the shift lever is sequentially selected into a forward range, a neutral range and the forward range during travel with the prescribed vehicle speed or higher detected by the vehicle speed detecting means; and an engine output limiting means 62 for preventing the belt slip by limiting the output of an engine when the DND selection determining means determines that the above range selection was made.
