PURPOSE: A power control method in a mobile communication system is provided to quickly control power in a rapidly changing propagation environment by determining a quality state of a current reverse link with a transmission power increase/decrease command received from a base station and controlling power in an hand-off. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station receives a power increase/decrease command from a base station(ST11). The mobile station transits its state and starts counting of power increase/decrease(ST12). The mobile station stores a power increase repetition value(ST13). The mobile station compares the power increase repetition value with a given threshold value(ST14). The mobile station transmits predetermined mobile station power according to the repeated counting of the power increase/decrease command(ST15,ST16). |
