COIL HEATER OF CLOTHES DRIER

PURPOSE: A coil heater of a clothes drier is provided to improve heating efficiency by minimizing flow resistance of air passing the coil heater and increasing contact time with modifying the arrangement structure of holes and winding shape of the heating coil. CONSTITUTION: A coil heater(11) of a clothes drier is composed of a rectangular heater case forming the exterior and having an inlet(12a), plural fixing holes(12b) and an outlet(12c); plural coil support plates(13) arranged and fixed horizontally in the heater case and composed of plural holes having the round sections; and a heating coil(14) penetrating the coil support plates. The winding shape of the heating coil is elliptical, and the major axis of the heating coil is placed in the airflow line in mounting the heating coil to the coil support plates. Heating efficiency is improved by increasing flow rate with minimizing flow resistance of air passing the heating coil and with increasing contact time with air.
