PURPOSE: An upper tray installed to an instrument panel is provided to prevent the torsion and thermal strain of a cover member by connecting a hinge member with a containing member by a coil spring and reducing torque applied to the cover member. CONSTITUTION: An upper tray installed to an instrument panel is composed of a containing member(50) installed at the upper part of the instrument panel, a hinge member(83) rotatably installed to the containing member, a cover member(60) coupled to the hinge member and installed at the instrument panel in recessed state, and a coil spring(200). The coil spring connects the hinge member with the containing member.
