<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clear and stably deliverable water-base ink jet recording fluid by using a pigment obtd. from a tetrazo compd. of dichlorobenzidine, another specific tetrazo compd., and an acetoanilide compd. SOLUTION: A pigment is obtd. by coupling a tetrazo compd. of 3,3'- dichlorobenzidine and a tetrazo compd. of a compd. represented by formula I or II (wherein X is carboxyl, sulfo, carboxamide, or sulfonamide; Y is H or X; and Z is methoxy or X) with at least one acetanilide compd. An ink jet recording fluid is obtd. by forming a concc. water-base dispersion contg. the pigment and a resin, adding water and additives thereto, and filtering the resulting dispersion with a filter having a pore size of 1μm or lower. An example of the compd. of formula I is 1,4-diaminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid, and an example of the compd. of formula II is 3,3'-dimethoxybenzidine. A mixture of acetoaceto-O-anisidide and aceto-2,5-dimethoxy-4-chloroanilide is pref. as the actoanilide compd.</p> |
