PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting fetus heart sound are provided to transmit an optimum alpha to a fetus by controlling an input stimulus according to a state of reaction of the fetus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting fetus heart sound includes an ultrasonic image unit(10), a signal mixing unit(20), and a control unit(70). The ultrasonic image unit(10) stimulates ears of a fetus by using ultrasonic waves. The signal mixing unit(20) applies a stimulus signal by mixing the heart sound of a heart sound measurement part(30), an alpha wave of an alpha wave generator(40), the weak electricity of a weak electricity generator(50), and an audio signal of an audio stimulus generator(60). The control unit(70) controls a level of the stimulus signal of the signal mixing unit(20) according to a state of reaction of the fetus.
