PURPOSE: Provided is a method for extracting Codonopsis lanceolata (S. et Z.) Trautv. by using sonication, thereby prevention destruction and deterioration of active ingredients of Codonopsis lanceolata (S. et Z.) Trautv., and providing high purity extract thereof in high yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting Codonopsis lanceolata (S. et Z.) Trautv. is characterized by repeatedly adding sonication to a mixture of Codonopsis lanceolata (S. et Z.) Trautv. and water at regular intervals. The vibration frequency of the sonication is 15-40 kHz and vibration amplitude thereof is 50-300 micrometers.
