PURPOSE: A dice surface detecting apparatus is provided to easily detect a surface of a dice by installing a photo detecting sensor and a logic circuit on a bottom plate, on which the dice is placed. CONSTITUTION: A dice game machine includes a body(1). A display unit(2) is positioned at an inner upper portion of the body(1). A coil slot(4) and an article discharge port(5) are formed at a lower portion of the body(1). A photo detecting sensors are aligned at each plane of a dice(20) in order to generate sensing signals. Photo sensors are also installed in a bottom plate on which the dice(20) is placed. In order to detect a malfunction of the dice(20), a dice state detecting sensor(30) is provided. Each of the photo detecting sensors includes a light emitting section and a light receiving section.
