PURPOSE: A pointing device, a scanner, a robot, a mobile communication device, and an electronic dictionary including the same are provided to rotate a mouse ball(moving ball) and improve a sensitivity of a movement by contacting the mouse ball with a bearing only. CONSTITUTION: A mouse is separated into an internal device(110) and an external device(111), and button switches(113,114) are arranged. If a ball(103) which is contacted with a mouse pad is pressed, the internal device(110) enters and presses the button switch(113) which is used as the left button. The button switch(114) which is exposed to an exterior is used as the right button. If the ball(103) is not pressed, the internal device(110) is pushed toward the lower part, and the button switch(113) is not operated. In the case that the button switch(113) is used as the left button, a proper interval is formed between the internal device(110) and the button switch(113). If the ball(103) is pressed over a predetermined distance, the internal device(110) is moved upwardly against an elastic force of a spring(112) and the button switch(113) is pressed. Also, when the ball(103) is pressed, the button switch(113) is operated by a movement of the ball(103). |
