PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube capable of improving a mechanical strength and displaying a high-quality and high-definition images. SOLUTION: A shadow mask main body 29 is provided with long sides almost parallel with a horizontal axis H and short sides almost parallel with a short axis. A curvature radius of a perforated part 29A on the horizontal axis H monotonously decreases from the center of the perforated part 29A toward an end of the horizontal axis, and at the perforated part 29A at the side of the long sides from the horizontal axis H, the curvature radius on a line parallel with the horizontal axis H has a maximum value between a vertical axis V and the short sides 29S.
