PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder held on a belt of a worker in a stable state irrespective of the size of the belt. SOLUTION: In the holder for a portable tool comprising a bracket 2 to be fixed to and held by a portable tool 4 and a holder body 3 to insert the bracket 2 therein to hold the portable tool 1, a belt passing part 4 to demarcate a slender opening to pass a belt by combining a short side wall 4a and a short side wall 4b is provided on a back side of the holder body 3, and a spacer which is attachably/detachably engaged with the belt passing part 4 to adjust the width of the slender opening is arranged.
