PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting operation switching mechanism of a cutting machine capable of preventing unprepared falling of the cutter in cutting a tail part from a head part or the head part from the tail part of a bookbinding material and of cutting without turning over the bookbinding material. SOLUTION: Link pins 15a to 15d are arranged and supported in an upper part of a frame 10 so as to freely protrude/retreat, and are inserted by selecting link pin inserting-extracting holes 12a and 12b formed in respective both end parts of a pair of link arms 12 by a link pin driving mechanism. The pair of link arms 12 are rotated with the link pins 15a, 15c or 15b, 15d inserted into the link pin inserting-extracting hole 12a or 12b as a fulcrum. The cutter 11 is lowered in the left lower or right lower direction according to a back position of the bookbinding material, and the cutter is made to enter from the back. The cutter 11 is locked on an upper standby position in a state of inserting the link pins 15a to 15d into both of the link pin inserting-extracting holes 12a and 12b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
