PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time up to when a lens driving means is driven by previously driving a boosting means. SOLUTION: A camera which has the boosting means 17 for boosting a source voltage, a lens driving means 13 for driving a lens member by being supplied with the voltage from the boosting means 17, and a lens control means 12 for controlling the driving of the boosting means 17 and lens driving means 13 and have an interchangeable lens mounted and demounted has a camera control means 3 capable of communicating with the lens control means 12, the camera control means 3 transmitting a lens driving instruction for driving the lens driving means to the lens control means 3 and also transmitting a boosting driving command for driving the boosting means.
