<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image analyzer of a particle in liquid for obtaining a particle concentration distribution by image processing on line so as to decide the deterioration of a lubricating oil containing obrasive particles. <P>SOLUTION: The image analyzer having a particle size distribution deriving means 12b for obtaining the particle size distribution by image processing includes a storage means 10 for storing a depth range of a sample channel direction, which can extract a particle image 15 by an image analyzing means 11a at each particle size, in a state in which the focus of imaging is matched to an imaging surface.
