<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure execution of an appropriate adjustment of a maintenance target depending on a use status. <P>SOLUTION: A maintenance support server 10 receives a request for maintenance (consumable order request, repair request) about a printer 12 used by a user, and records the content of the received maintenance request in a database. The maintenance support server 10 manages the use status (order frequency, fault frequency) of the printer 12 according to the request content recorded in the database, determines whether the printer 12 needs a color adjustment according to the managed use status, and if determining a need of adjustment, notifies a maintenance person or the like about the need of adjustment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
