<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having superior high temperature resistance and high rate discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte battery is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte, and the nonaqueous electrolyte includes ordinary temperature molten salt formed of quaternary ammonium organic material cation and anion composed of non-metallic elements alone as main components. This nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes lithium salt of 0.5 mol/l or more in concentration, which is formed of lithium ion and the anion composed of the non-metallic elements alone. This nonaqueous electrolyte battery also includes chained carbonate whose boiling point under the normal pressure is 130°C or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
