<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant electric wire and a cable preventing "whitening" due to rub and impact, allowing the recycling of a coating, and having a favorable workability in leading the wire and the cable in a wire conduit. <P>SOLUTION: This flame retardant electric wire and the cable is formed with the coating of resin composition formed by mixing, at least, inorganic flame retardant with polyolefin and employs transparent magnesium hydroxide having a refractive index of 1.55-1.58 or preferably 1.55-1.57 as the inorganic flame retardant. The flame retardant polyethylene insulation control cable 10 comprises a conductor 11, an insulated conductor 12, an interposition 13, and a sheath 14 of the above composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
