PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer structure having a photocatalyst layer including a photocatalyst having a decomposing capacity of an organic compound and a hydrophilizing capacity of a photocatalyst itself.

SOLUTION: This layered structure 5 has the photocatalyst layer 3 including the photocatalyst and simultaneously demonstrates both the decomposing performance of the organic compound existing on the surface of the photocatalyst layer 3 and the hydrophilizing performance of the surface of the photocatalyst layer 3 through the irradiation of an active ray having an energy larger than the band gap energy of the photocatalist. In addition, a solid acid layer 2 including a solid acid is provided between a base material 1 and the photocatalyst layer 3.
