PRISM SHEET AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY UNIT WITH SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism sheet where light which is incident at an angle of about ≤2.8° to the normal of a light incidence surface is refracted and exited.

SOLUTION: The prism sheet 150 includes a 1st surface 152 on which the light from a light source is made incident and a 2nd surface 154 where the light made incident through the 1st surface 152 exits. The 2nd surface 154 includes a plurality of polygonal projections having mutually parallel length-directional axes and each projection has at least one 1st side having an angle of about 65 to 75° to a line orthogonal to the 1st surface 152 and at lest one 2nd side which is adjacent to the 1st side and has an angle of about 40 to 60° to the line orthogonal to the 1st surface.
