<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro power converter which has a planar magnetic induction element being small in mounting area and capable of reducing power loss by enhancing power conversion efficiency, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The first conductor 4 is made on the surface of a ferrite substrate 1, and the second conductor 5 is made on the rear. The first conductor 4 and the second conductor 5 are connected with each other by a connecting conductor 3 piercing the ferrite substrate 1, and the surfaces of the first conductor 4 and the second conductor 5 are covered with resist or an insulating protective film 8 so as to form the film inductor of a toroidal endless solenoid. The micro power converter is constituted of this film inductor, a semiconductor chip 11, and a stacked ceramic conductor array 15. By doing it into an endless solenoid, the inductance value can be made larger than that of a spiral film conductor, and the film inductor can be downsized. Moreover, since DC resistance can be made small, the improvement of the conversion efficiency of the power converter and the reduction of power loss can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
