PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain data of images recorded on a recording material by a printer contained in a photographing apparatus. SOLUTION: An instant element 84 mounted in a printer-containing digital still camera (DSC) has an image recording region 84A at the center, an enclosure 86 containing a developing fixing reagent at one end, and a reagent receptor 88 at the other end with an IC tag 90 provided near the enclosure 86. The printer in the DSC reciprocates an exposure head 70 and controls LEDs of the head 70 to turn on and off them, thereby exposing and recording an image in the image recording region 84A. Then, it reciprocates a press roller 80 to leak the developing fixing reagent from the enclosure 86, diffuses it over the entire surface of the recording region 84A, thereby developing and fixing the exposed recorded image, and writes information showing the place of saving data of the recorded image, thumbnail image data and photographing information in the IC tag 90.
