PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device for obtaining a suitable steering characteristic corresponding to various operating conditions. SOLUTION: The number of rotations of each wheel is taken in an ECU1 in a step 110. In a step 120, a steering angle is taken, and an angular rate is calculated and taken using the steering angle. In a step 130, a number of rotation of an engine is taken, and an engine rotation acceleration is calculated and taken using the number of rotation of the engine. In a step 140, a lateral G is taken, and a yaw rate is taken in a step 150. In a step 160, signals from a stop lamp SW21 are taken, and signals from a mode switching SW23 are taken in a step 170.
