PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM reception device which keeps the precision of propagation path estimation even when failing in following up a propagation path estimate and estimates a propagation path without degrading the transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: The OFDM reception device has a means which selects first propagation path estimates estimated from a preamble signal for synchronization or data symbols and second propagation path estimates estimated from pilot subcarriers, for subcarriers of data symbols respectively in accordance with prescribed selection conditions with respect to a transmission frame having the preamble signal and pilot subcarriers in data symbols inserted therein. The first propagation path estimates have means which recursively update hard decisions of data symbols subjected to amplitude phase compensation and demodulation before, as new replicas.
