PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having an electrode structure capable of reducing ESR (equivalent series resistance). SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with a capacitor element 1 and an external case 9. In the element 1, a positive electrode forming foil 2 having a positive electrode tab terminal 3 for positive electrode leadout, and a negative electrode forming foil 4 having a negative electrode tab terminal 5 for negative electrode leadout, are wound with separating papers 6 in between them. Further, the element 1 has a sealing material 8 with conductive polymer-made solid electrolytic layer 7 formed in between the foils 2 and 4. The bottomed external casing 9 puts the capacitor element 1 inside together with a sealing material 8. The design sets the negative electrode forming foil 4 at 80-120μm in thickness for a reduction in ESR. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
