PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storage property of a nickel-hydrogen storage battery provided with an anode 1, a cathode 2 and a separator 3a placed between the anode 1 and the cathode 2, after a several cycles of storage. SOLUTION: In the region, where the cathode 2 faces the anode 1 only by one side, coating weight of separators 3a and 3b is set larger than the other region. For example, in a nickel-hydrogen storage battery in which the anode 1, the separator 3a and the cathode 2 are spirally wound, the separator 3a is overlayed with the separator 3b, to increase the coating weight of the outermost region.
