PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote effective utilization of the residual hot water by restricting wasteful discharge of the hot water left in a bathtub in a hot water supply system such as a hot water supply type bath. SOLUTION: This hot water supply system is provided with a route 5 for supplying the hot water generated in a heating part 3(4) to a bathtub 1, a water level sensor 7 for detecting a water level of the bathtub 1, one or more remote controllers 17 having informing means 19 and 20 and to be provided in places except for, at least, a bathroom, and a residual water determining means for determining whether the hot water is left in the bathtub 1 or not on the basis of a detecting signal of the water level sensor 7. The informing means 19 and 20 of the remote controller 17 inform that the hot water is left in the bathtub 1 in response to a determination that the hot water is left. In addition, a supply passage 25 for supplying the residual hot water to a washing machine 22 and a hot-water filling control means are provided, and the hot-water filling control means can be structured to supply the residual hot water to the washing machine in response to the operation of the predetermined selective means 18c of the remote controller 17.
