PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of increasing joint strength of a door and a handle and increasing strength of the handle itself. SOLUTION: The refrigerator has a door comprising a door outer plate, a door inner plate, a foam heat insulating material between the door outer plate and the door inner plate. The door has a handle base that is disposed on the right surface or left surface of the door and has a hole for passing the foam heat insulating material and a handling section across the door outer plate and the door inner plate, a handle cover for covering the handle base a clearance away from the handling section, and a foam heat insulating material that is filled into a gap between the handling section and the handle cover and connects to the foam heat insulating material between the door outer plate and the door inner plate.
