PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cycloolefin-based copolymer excellent in transparency, dynamic characteristic (toughness), heat resistance and water resistance (low water absorption) and further excellent in low birefringence by solving problems of conventional transparent resins. SOLUTION: This cycloolefin-based copolymer has a cycloolefin skeleton-containing structural unit (A) of a specific structure and a specific acrylic ester-based structural unit (B) with an alicyclic skeleton, where the structural units (A) in the copolymer are not neighboring each other.
