PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device for recording medium in which an opening part for insertion can be opened and closed to efficiently store a recording medium and reproduce it. SOLUTION: A CD 14 being a recording medium is inserted from the opening part of a casing 12, and inserted to one holding position of a stocker 13 while holding it between an upper roller 25 and a lower roller 26 of a carrier roller 24. A mount 16 is elevated and and a PU unit 15 is adjusted to the height of specified holding position, the PU unit 15 is advanced in a space formed by dividing the stocker 13, and reproduction of the CD 14 can be performed. In the casing 12, the influence of vibration from the outside is reduced with a floating mechanism 17. When insertion and discharge are performed, a lock pawl 21 fixes a chassis and the case 12.
