The invention relates to a system for distributing geo-referenced information, consisting of a central processing unit and numerous mobile terminals comprising automatic means of providing the users of each mobile terminal with pre-defined information services. Information resources which are stored in the mobile terminal and/or the central processing unit are used to generate the contents of said services, said contents being dependent on the geographical position of the mobile terminal. According to the invention, one of the processing means consists of a control module for the mobile terminal, comprising three ports for the connection of a personal digital assistant, a module for communicating with the central processing unit and a GPS module as well as an additional port, P4, which is used to connect external devices.
