<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device of a vehicle provided with a means for avoiding the occurrence of abnormality for securing predetermined tightening force. <P>SOLUTION: A parking limit detection switch 11, a usual parking detection switch 10, and a manual switch 20 are connected in series from this order from a battery B side in a circuit 31 for usual parking. When the manual switch 20 is set to a parking position P2, supply of electricity to a motor 2 is started to tighten parking brake by usual tightening force. When tightening force larger than usual tightening force is required, electricity is supplied to the motor 2 by a circuit 32 for increasing and reduction. The circuit 32 for increasing and reduction has a connection 37 connecting a section between the parking limit detection switch 11 and the usual parking detection switch 10 in the circuit 31 for usual parking with the manual switch 20. If abnormality occurs in the circuit 31 for usual parking, the parking brake limit detection switch 11 can be used as a switch for back-up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
